Really tough period betting-wise lately but finally something to post. I thought it would be another unlucky streak when the team I've placed a bet on missed to win the game being equalized deep in the stoppage time so the 3.75 odds has been cancelled but maybe that what made me to bet more aggressive in the next so as they say you don't know what you're winning when you loose

Simon Yates (Mitchelton-Scott), Pello Bilbao (Astana Pro Team) and Gregor Mühlberger (Bora-Hansgrohe) were the strongest out of today's massive 42-man breakaway, they rode clear of their companions and got to sprint for the victory. That sprint was expertly won by Simon Yates, he positioned himself perfectly and launched himself towards the line at the perfect time. As for the general classification contenders, they all had a quiet day ahead of tomorrow's individual time trial. Today's stage 12 is a proper mountain test, with two first-category climbs back-to-back before a long descent towards the finish. Vincenzo Nibali is not a contender for the general classification anymore and he will probably try a stage win today given his ability as a descender. Crvena Zvezda vs Suduva (UEFA Champions League) Tonight's Champions League qualifying round match in Belgrade has a clear favourite, the home team will definitely win against their opponents from Lithuania. Last week Suduva somehow survived with a goalless draw in the first leg, but their luck will run out in Serbia. Crvena Zvezda are a solid team and they will surely make the most out of the home turf advantage. My prediction is Crvena Zvezda to win with -2 handicap, odds are 2.05 at Bet365.

Crazy stage today because of the crosswind, Team Ineos and Deceuninck-QuickStep put the hammer down and they caught out quite a bit of important people, including Thibaut Pinot, Jakob Fuglsang and Mikel Landa. There was a big surprise at the sprint as well, Wout van Aert was incredibly strong and defeated Elia Viviani at the line. Giulio Ciccone dropped from second to tenth in the general classification as he finished in the third group. We had another breakaway win today and Daryl Impey was the man who took it, he rode clear of his breakaway companions along with Tiesj Benoot and then defeated the Belgian in the sprint. I was wrong on this one, Serena Williams hammered Strycova 6-1, 6-2.

Serena Williams vs Barbora Strycova (WTA Wimbledon) Serena Williams is the obvious favourite to win this match but Strycova is an experienced player and she has played very well at Wimbledon this year. Moreover, she dropped just a set up to the semi-finals and defeated good players like Bertens, Mertens or Konta. I think Williams will most likely win it in the end but I am quite optimistic that the first set will be hard-fought and quite balanced. My bet would be Over 9.5 games in first set, odds are 2.20 at Bet365.

Glad to see St Louis have done it in the end, surely they've had a really tough start of the season but after the coaching change they've had never looked back. A deserved triumph for the Blues in my opinion.

Yeah, Carapaz has been the most consistent rider but really Movistar dominated the race as a team helping him in some really keen moments and controlling the race as a whole, it's certainly a long awaited success for them in the grand tours and they just shown the best form as a unit.

The St Louis Blues have taken the lead in the Stanley Cup Finals with a 2-1 victory at the Boston Bruins in game five on Thursday. Goalie Jordan Binnington made 38 saves to secure the result for the Blues, while Ryan O'Reilly scored his third goal in the past two games and also had an assist. Probably not the most impressive wins these that I've ever had but it's been a poor run lately so I'll take just about anything at this stage.

Let's try a Champions League combo today: Ajax vs Dynamo Kyiv Dynamo are unbeaten in all competitions this season but they have scored just one goal per match in six of their seven games so far this season. On the other hand Ajax were quite impressive in the previous two rounds and managed to keep a clean sheet each time. I expect Ajax to keep Dynamo scoreless again, so the bet is Both Teams to Score: No, 1.72 at Bet365. Young Boys vs Dinamo Zagreb Both teams are unbeaten in all competitions this season and both have been scoring constantly, home and away. I expect them to continue that scoring streak, so my suggested bet is Both Teams to Score: Yes, 1.72 at Bet365. Combined odds: 2.95
