Dominant Premier League leaders Liverpool are looking to extend their amazing unbeaten run when they visit Wolverhampton at Molineux Stadium on Thursday. The reverse fixture was not an easy one for the Reds, they won it 1-0 with a first-half goal from Sadio Mane. Overall, Liverpool have won the last six league matches against Wolverhampton, but the Wolves defeated the Reds in the FA Cup both in 2017 and 2019.
Wolverhampton are now an established contender for the Premier League top six, and with a bit of luck they could even push for a fourth place this season. Last season they finished seventh, now they are sixth after 23 matches and fourth-placed Chelsea are just six points ahead. However, before last weekend Wolverhampton had a poor run of five matches without a win going on, but they snapped out of with with a great 3-2 win at Southampton, fighting back from 2-0 down. Ruben Vinagre and Willy Boly are still out injured, but Diogo Jota is close to his return and might feature from the bench.
Liverpool are running away with the Premier League title, they have won 21 of their 22 matches so far and are leading the table with a comfortable sixteen-point advantage. Last week they got their revenge over the only team that they had not beaten yet in the league this season, they defeated Manchester United 2-0 in the North West Derby. The Reds have now won their last thirteen Premier League matches and have not conceded any goals in their last seven. Fabinho and Joel Matip were on the bench last weekend after lengthy injury lay-offs, so one of them might make the first eleven here. Naby Keita, Nathaniel Clyne and James Milner are still sidelined, while Dejan Lovren is a doubt.
Probable line-ups:
Wolverhampton: Patricio - Saiss, Coady, Dendoncker - Doherty, Moutinho, Neves, Jonny - Traore, Jimenez, Neto
Liverpool: Alisson - Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson - Henderson, Fabinho, Wijnaldum - Salah, Firmino, Origi
My prediction:
Wolverhampton are more than capable of causing an upset here, they will surely fight for it, but in the end I think Liverpool will snatch a 2-1 win.

It's been quite a game that one to be honest, Liverpool have missed quite a number of chances first half mainly through Salah (he never looked likely to score, isn't he?!) but Wolves dominated the bigger part of the second half and in my opinion they've been a bit unlucky not to get at least a point from the game. But if you allow a couple of clear cut chances to a player like Firmino..well in the end you're going to pay the price for it.
