Metric rolled out its fully managed golf service in 2017 and the site’s customers will now have access to betting options for hole-by-hole, 18-hole and 72-hole markets in one fell swoop. As a result of the partnership, bettors can expect accurate and reliable information, which will be accessible throughout the Majors, PGA, and European Tour tournaments.
Metric’s Golf product gives sportsbooks ...
...the ability to present their offerings with confidence in an increasingly competitive market with the aid of stand-out features such as adjustable margins, margin curves, limits and odds ladders. Operators also have customizable options via constructible events, market options and dead heat terms. More about that here.
CEO for Metric, Martin de Knijf, had this to say regarding the Betfred deal:
"This is an exciting partnership for Metric Gaming and we’re delighted to partner with Betfred, one of the world’s largest gaming operators. Our leading product is a perfect match with their leading brand.
Betfred will immediately gain a product advantage on Golf, one of the most popular recreational sports globally, through a service that provides an unparalleled product breadth and depth throughout the year.
Through Betfred, golf fans will be able to access pioneering markets as we head towards the inaugural sponsorship of the Betfred Masters and the remaining Majors off the back of Tiger Woods winning the Masters at Augusta."
Craig Reid, Group Trading Director for the site, also sounded hopeful abut the future of the company’s partnership with Metric saying:
"We are always looking for new innovative products to help grow our portfolio of sports markets. The Metric golf product will differentiate Betfred from the marketplace offering our clients an exciting range of new fast moving in play markets. This week’s launch of the product could not be better timing as we ourselves launch sponsorship of the Betfred Masters."

To be honest I'm not a huge golf fan or ever being tempted to place a wagers on the sport but from all I've been reading above it seems that the punters who love the golf stakes would have the chance of quite more complete experience at Betsson being able to place a hole-by-hole wagers. You could bet on every throw in, corner, or even cards in football so why not the golf betting experience being more complete as well, I think that's a good move from the bookies side.Show more
