Tottenham and Chelsea will clash in what should be a cracking London derby on New Year's Day. Less than a month ago the two sides met at Stamford Bridge and that time Chelsea cruised to a 3-0 victory, even without top scorer Diego Costa. This time the Spanish striker is available to play and eager to score after finding the net in Chelsea's last two matches.
The Blues were held to a 1-1 draw at Southampton last weekend's but Manchester City's shock 2-2 draw against Burnley preserved their three-point cushion at the top of the table. Jose Mourinho has complained about the referee decisions after that match, but that's not something new with the Portuguese boss. He doesn't have any new injury concerns though, but he might rotate some players, giving space to the likes of Cesar Azpilicueta and Oscar.
Tottenham have ended 2014 with a solid five-match unbeaten run in all competitions, but they missed the chance to move into the top four after a goalless draw against Manchester United last Sunday. They are just three points below the fourth place though, and they could move very close to Southampton and Arsenal if they beat the league leaders. Spurs are now unbeaten at home in their last six games in all competitions and they have conceded just two goals in the process.
Probable line-ups:
Spurs: Lloris - Walker, Fazio, Vertonghen, Davies - Mason, Bentaleb, Lamela, Eriksen, Chadli - Kane
Chelsea: Courtois - Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta - Fabregas, Matic, Willian, Oscar, Hazard - Costa
My prediction: 1-1 draw.
Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:
Tottenham win - 4/1 Draw - 11/4 Chelsea win - 4/5

Amazing game for all the auditory. Amazing result. This is what all the audience wanted to see. I am very sad for Chelsea, they built championship winner team, but because of piled up schedule their concentration is dropping a little. Very hard loss, but Tottenham played much better and deserved the win. I am hoping for...

Wow, what was it? :D I think Mourinho is making big mistakes. He use the same players, they are very tired now. If he continues this way, they will not win the competition.

In this game I expect a very uncertain score.Totenhem slowly awakens and Chelsea is not exactly the best form. Both teams have played in the last round draw with Machester United and Sautemptonom.Last match when Tottenham is hosted finished at 1-1 and here too I think there will be small number of goals.
