Title contenders Napoli are hoping to get a second consecutive win but they will have a tough match ahead of them as they host rivals AC Milan at San Paolo Stadium in Naples on Saturday. Last season Napoli defeated AC Milan 2-1 in Naples with goals from Lorenzo Insigne and Piotr Zielinski, while the reverse fixture in Milan ended goalless. AC Milan have not won a match in Naples since 2010, that's a run of seven matches without success for the Rossoneri. Overall, Napoli have won four of the last six direct matches.
Napoli kicked off their campaign with a 2-1 victory in Rome over Lazio, a great result considering they had to fight back from 1-0 down in the first half. Arkadiusz Milik and Lorenzo Insigne scored the goals for Napoli last weekend and both are expected to be in the starting eleven again. Faouzi Ghoulam, Alex Meret and Amin Younes are still injured and won't be available for Saturday's match. Head coach Carlo Ancelotti will most likely choose to continue with Orestis Karnezis in goal despite the arrival of David Ospina on loan from Arsenal.
AC Milan had the weekend off last week, they were scheduled to play Genoa at Giuseppe Meazza Stadium in Milan but the match was postponed after the Genoa bridge tragedy. That match will be played on October 31, so AC Milan will start their season this Saturday in Naples. The Rossoneri had a pretty exciting summer with some spectacular moves on the transfer market, especially the arrival of striker Gonzalo Higuain from Juventus. Chelsea's Tiemoue Bakayoko is also set to make his debut for AC Milan this weekend, as fellow midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu is suspended.
