Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho interrupted his press conference following his team's 3-0 defeat against Tottenham on Monday evening, the Portuguese boss demanded "respect" from journalists before heading out. The defeat against Tottenham at Old Trafford was the heaviest home defeat in Mourinho's entire career. Moreover, this is the weakest season start that Mourinho had in his managerial career as Manchester United lost two of their first three Premier League matches this season. For Man United it's the worst season start in 26 years.
"I won more Premierships alone than the other 19 managers together. Three for me and two for them. Respect, respect, respect man," Mourinho said before storming out of the press conference. The Portuguese manager had another tense meeting with the journalists this week, the pre-match conference was quite strange as well. Mourinho arrived 30 minutes early for that conference, offered a few quick responses and headed out after just over four minutes. Jose Mourinho has won the Premier League three times with Chelsea, he also had two titles in Portugal, two in Italy and one in Spain, plus the Champions League twice, and the Europa League with United in 2017.
"You want to make the miracle of my team played so well and strategically we were so, so, so, so, so, so good and you want to try and transform this press conference into let's blame the guy," an angry Mourinho said at the post-match press conference. When a journalist asked about United's defending against Spurs, Mourinho said: "I am sorry. You have to tell me what is the most important thing because I don't know. When I win matches I come here many times and you are not happy that I win matches and you say the most important is the way of playing."
Jose Mourinho is 10/11 at SkyBet to become the first Premier League manager to lose his job this season.
