The American Gaming Association (AGA) has launched a new campaign for the licensing and legalization of sport betting in the US, which will be presented by the President and CEO, Geoff Freeman, on June 8, 2016 at the iGaming Executive Conference in Amsterdam.
In November 2015, the AGA concluded months of research and the casino industry revealed its plans to conduct research of its own on the current law. A new coalition would lead the study and determine whether legal opportunities exist. As illegal sports betting grows in the US, there is no protection for punters and authorities have no means to ensure the integrity of games.
The presentation will outline the current situation and the AGA's position to an audience including iGaming CEOs attending the iGaming Executive Conference at the iGaming Super Show in Amsterdam.
Freeman said, “Sports betting has never been more popular in America than it is today. The illegal sports betting market is running rampant. AGA is leading the conversation around a new approach to sports betting that enhances consumer protections, strengthens the integrity of games and recognizes fans' desire for greater engagement with sports.”
In addition to the iGaming Super Show, the iGaming Executive Conference will feature a “think tank” open to industry CEOs, COOs and CTOs to discuss various topics related to the growth and development of this market.
The iGaming Super Show is scheduled from June 7-10, 2016 at the RAI in Amsterdam. Attendance is free. Information and registration is available at www.iGamingSuperShow.com.
