BETDAQ has teamed up with the London-based football club, Charlton Athletic FC, which plays in the third tier of English football. The betting exchange operator, owned by Ladbrokes, has signed a contract which consists of shirt sponsorship deal that will last over the next three years.
Beginning in the 2016/17 season, BETDAQ will take on the position as a principal partner of the League One club. Furthermore, it will highly benefit from branding, as the Addicks' new home and change strips will have its logo featured on the front, on display at Charlton Athletic's home ground, in addition to The Valley, and the club's media backdrops.
The deal will also see BETDAQ developing offers for Charlton fans.
Managing director for BETDAQ, Shane McLaughlin, commented, "We are delighted to partner with Charlton Athletic. The club has a fantastic history and a passionate fan base. We're backing the club to bounce back into the Championship this year and we believe the club has a bright future ahead.
McLaughlin further added, "Football is an important and growing part of our business and the Charlton Athletic partnership provides a great platform to bring our product and brand to a new audience in the important London market."
Furthermore, Katrien Meire, Charlton FC CEO, stated, "BETDAQ have a great ambition for this partnership and we are very pleased to have them as the club's new shirt sponsor.”
Meire went on to state, “We are looking to build a long-term partnership that will see Charlton Athletic and BETDAQ grow together."
