William Hill has teamed up with Betfect, now serving as only the second renowned operator to go live on the Betfect platform.
Betfect is an innovative social betting network, founded in 2014. Its goal thus far has been to totally transform the sports betting experience, by giving its users the opportunity to place, share or copy bets from top bettors, conveniently in one place.
The addition of William Hill follows the addition of Ladbrokes just last year, along with the company's objective of signing up a number of bookmaker partners, enabling individuals to use their site directly, in order to place bets.
Head of product innovation at William Hill, Alex Rutherford, stated, “Creating a social network for the sports betting community, allowing users to stay connected while using our services is a great idea."
Rutherford added, "We are delighted to boost innovation by helping and supporting start-ups like Betfect to increase the level of engagement amongst our customers and to bring new ideas to market."
Founder of Betfect, Giacomo Alpago, commented, "We are delighted to be the first social sports betting application to fully and seamlessly integrate with both Ladbrokes and William Hill's APIs to provide an enhanced betting experience for our users. We aim to socialise the digital betting experience and do for the betting industry what eToro is doing for the financial trading markets.
"It is a major coup for Betfect that major operators like William Hill and Ladbrokes are keen to work with us to drive innovation in this sector in order to give punters the best betting experience possible," Alpago went on.
With two major operators now under its belt, this is just the tip of the iceberg for Betfect, as they plan to integrate more in the future.
