Current league leaders Borussia Dortmund take on reining champions Bayern Munich on Saturday at Signal Iduna Park in the most important Bundesliga match of the season so far. Last season Bayern Munich defeated Borussia Dortmund both home and away in the Bundesliga, 3-1 in Dortmund and 6-0 in Munich, and they also beat them 2-1 in the German Cup. The two teams also met in the German Super Cup last season, the match ended 2-2 and Bayern Munich won the trophy after a penalty shoot-out. Borussia Dortmund have not won a league match against Bayern since 2016.
Borussia Dortmund have been in great shape so far this season, they are still unbeaten in the Bundesliga after ten matches and were unbeaten in all competitions before this week. On Tuesday they lost their first match of the season, 2-0 at Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, but Borussia are still at the top of the table in Group A. Last weekend they won 1-0 at Wolfsburg, extending their lead at the top of the table to four points over Bayern Munich. Marcel Schmelzer is injured for the home side, while Roman Burki and Abdou Diallo are injury doubts ahead of Saturday's match.
Bayern Munich are no longer invincible in the Bundesliga after having won the title in the last eight seasons, this time it seems they will have more than a few problems. They have already lost two league matches this season, and that is a lot if we consider that they had lost just four throughout the whole last season. Last week Bayern Munich were held to a 1-1 home draw by Freiburg, but they bounced back a few days later with a 2-0 Champions League victory over AEK Athens. Kingsley Coman, Corentin Tolisso and Thiago Alcantara are injured and won't be part of the squad for Saturday's game.

My prediction: Borussia Dortmund to win 2-1, Bayern are having lots of problems and Borussia are strong enough to expose them.

I just saw the last 15-20 minutes of that game but it's been completely enough for me to see the Dortmund's domination and the pair of goals they scored(deservedly)...

Bayern looking very shaky and maybe it's time for some other team to win the Bundesliga after so many years of Bavarian domination, so certainly Dortmund has the biggest chances of the rest..still early days though.
