RB Leipzig youngster Naby Keita is a target for many big clubs this summer but the owner of the club insists that he will not sell him for any price. RB Leipzig owner Dietrich Mateschitz has revealed they have received an official offer worth 75 million euros for the 22-year-old this summer, after another bid worth 65 million offers tabled by Liverpool was rejected. The young midfielder is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in Europe after having helped RB Leipzig finish second in the Bundesliga last season.
Mateschitz said: "Lately we got a €75m offer for Naby Keita. No way! He has a contract and he will accomplish it. To sell him would not only be a proof of distrust to our fans but also the wrong sign for our players like Timo Werner, who is in demand too." Naby Keita has started to play football in Guinea before moving to France at FC Istres in 2012. Then he moved to Austria at Red Bull Salzburg before moving to sister club RB Salzburg in the German Bundesliga. He scored eight goals in 31 league appearances last season.
RB Leipzig sporting director Ralf Rangnick has previously said that they would not sell Keita even if they receive an offer worth more than 100 million euros, but it seems that other executives at the club would like to make a good business decision in this case. RB Leipzig have sold striker Davie Selke for 8 million euros this summer and spent 37.50 million euros on four new players: striker Jean-Kévin Augustin from Paris Saint-Germain, winger Bruma from Galatasaray, midfielder Konrad Laimer from Salzburg and goalkeeper Yvon Mvogo from Young Boys.
RB Leipzig are 20/1 at Bet365 to win the Bundesliga title next season.
