Colombian rider Nairo Quintana extended his domination on the Giro d'Italia by claiming the mountain time trial stage 19 from Bassano de Grappa to Cima Grappa. His lead over fellow Colombian Rigoberto Uran is now over three minutes with just two stages remaining. It was Quintana's second stage win of this year's Giro.
Movistar rider Quintana was 17 seconds faster than young Italian Fabio Aru over the 26.8km route of stage 19. Aru leapfrogged Pierre Rolland in the general classification, moving into second place. Moreover, the young Astana rider is now just 41 seconds behind Uran in the general classification. Cadel Evans finished outside the top 10 on the stage and now is almost 10 minutes behind Quintana in the general classification.
Saturday's mountain stage will shape the general classification, it will be just 167 kilometers long but it features three big climbs. The first climb to Passo del Pura is 11 kilometers long with a maximum gradient of 13%, then the riders will go up to Sella di Razzo, 17 kilometers with a maximum gradient of 15%. The final climb is a legendary one, Monte Zoncolan, just 10 kilometers long but with gradients that constantly go over 20%.

Nairo Quintana - 1/1
Fabio Aru - 5/1
Pierre Rolland - 9/1
