Ten days after having held the Citizens to a goalless draw, Championship side Huddersfield travel to the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday for the replay of the match against Manchester City. It's interesting to point out that Manchester City have not won against Huddersfield in the last three matches, even though the previous two were all the way back in the 1990-2000 season.
Manchester City have to be well-rested after not playing last weekend due to the League Cup final. They are unbeaten in their last seven competitive matches, a streak which includes last week's spectacular 5-3 comeback victory over AS Monaco in the Champions League. Ilkay Gundogan and Gabriel Jesus remain injured, while Vincent Kompany is still some way short of match fitness.
Huddersfield have their own unbeaten streak going on, they have not lost in nine matches and they are third in the Championship after last weekend's 1-1 draw at Barnsley. They really seem to have what it takes to push for promotion to the Premier League this season, and an upset at the Etihad Stadium will further boost their confidence. However, manager David Wagner will most likely choose to rotate his squad for his match as he did the same thing the first time they met the Citizens.
Probable line-ups:
Man City: Bravo - Sagna, Otamendi, Kolarov, Clichy - Delph, Fernando - Navas, Garcia, Nolito - Aguero
Huddersfield: Coleman - Cranie, Hudson, Stankovic, Holmes-Dennis - Billing, Whitehead - Lolley, Payne, Parra - Quaner
My prediction: Manchester City to win 3-1.
