Software developer and operator, Gamesys, has just announced big news for its company. The operator of several online social and real money slots throughout the UK and other European countries, as well as bingo and casino sites on both desktop and mobile platforms, has made the decision to extend its efforts to the sports betting market.
It will be making its entrance with the aid of Metric Gaming, Las Vegas-based supplier, the brand which has signed on to deliver the necessary technology via its Metric SuperLive technology platform, for what the two companies have deemed, the “next generation sportsbook offering.”
This latest venture will serve as the first time a third party partner has employed Metric's platform. The company's solution has implemented rapid-fire betting opportunities, and enables customer accounts to be credited in real-time.
Enhanced by traditional pre-match and in-game sportsbook content, the collaboration is expected to represent “the first truly mobile, next generation full sportsbook technology.”
According to chief executive of Gamesys, Lee Fenton, “This is an exciting step for Gamesys. We see tremendous potential in Metric's technology, and believe our companies' visions are aligned for this industry's future.”
“They themselves build great technology so we are honoured that they recognized the power of our platform to help them enter the Sports market,” added Peter Bertilsson, Metric's President and chief executive officer (CEO).
News of Gamesys' plan to delve into the online sports betting market first circulated back in March, and the deal marks a major milestone for each of the companies, particularly for Gamesys, as it will be entering the sports betting market for the first time.
