GoldenPark has just made an announcement that it will be extending its sponsorship with Spanish La Liga football club, CD Leganes, for which it has been partnered with for the last four seasons, and during which time the team has received two promotions. As a result of the extension, the land-based and online gaming operator will see its brand appear on the back of the first team's shirt and tracksuits for the 2016/17 season.
MGA Group, which was founded in 1976, owns GoldenPark, offering up a portfolio which covers the gaming, entertainment, hospitality, and real estate industries. It also takes credit for having designed the first slot game in Spain. Among its licensed iGaming operations include GoldenPark.es, TodoSlots.com, BingoBombo.com, and the Facebook app.
CD Leganes has made major strides in the last couple of years. It had been on a ten-year hiatus, until making its return in 2014 and making a serious comeback. In fact, at the end of last season, it was promoted to the top La Liga division, making history.
The sponsorship extension was finalized in an official ceremony last week, with representatives Felipe Moreno, vice president of the club, and Joan Sanahuja, from GoldenPark. Other individuals in attendance included team coach, Asier Garitano, and Martin Mantovani, who played a major role in the club's promotion last season.
Moreno and Sanahuja, together, released a statement culminating their thoughts on the matter, in which they are “very proud and grateful to be able to continue with the partnership for one more season, and hope that the union will continue for much longer."
