Inspired has recently entered the Greek virtual sports market, via a deal with lottery operator, OPAP. The agreement will enable the leading worldwide supplier to deliver its full suite of products to the operator online, and across its retail locations, of which there are more than 4,000. The process is slated to begin in early 2017.
While the process will be gradual, OPAP customers can look forward to titles such as Rush Football 2, Rush Horses, and Rush Greyhounds, being among the first to become available. The lottery operator will also gain the Mike Tyson virtual boxing game, as well as Shaquille O'Neal's virtual basketball games.
Inspired CEO, Luke Alvarez, commented, “The announcement of this deal is a significant one for Inspired and OPAP. Together we will bring best-in-class virtual sports to the Greek market, and I'm confident that this represents the commencement of a fruitful business relationship.”
Alvarez added, “Inspired's virtual sports have driven material incremental income in several international markets, and we expect the same in Greece. We look forward to working with OPAP to deliver a premium player experience.”
Damian Cope, OPAP CEO stated, “Inspired's virtual sports is a proven product with players in many other European jurisdictions and I am confident that our own customers in Greece will also enjoy playing these entertaining games. This will be one of the first new products that we will launch in line with our long-term 2020 Vision and we expect to make further announcements on additional product launches in the coming months.”
