Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj is set to join Real Sociedad after the clubs have agreed a transfer fee of around 9.8 million pounds. Januzaj, aged 22, was told by manager Jose Mourinho that there is no future for him at Manchester United as he was left out of the squad for the pre-season tour of the United States. Adnan Januzaj chose to represent Belgium at international level after his family moved from Albania to Brussels before he was born. He earned 6 caps for Belgium and got to play at the 2014 World Cup.
Manchester United signed Januzaj from Anderlecht in 2011 when he was just 16 years old and he made his debut in the senior team under manager David Moyes in 2013. He scored 4 goals in 35 appearances in all competitions during the 2013-2014 season, but after David Moyes got sacked he didn't get as many chances to play. In 2014-2015 he made just 21 appearances for Manchester United and then got sent out on loan to Borussia Dortmund in the following campaign but only got to play in 12 matches in all competitions.
Last season Adnan Januzaj was on loan at Sunderland but scored just one goal in 28 appearances in all competitions. Real Sociedad finished sixth in LaLiga last season and earned qualification for this season's Europa League. They have signed Real Madrid central defender Diego Llorente this summer, but the arrival of Januzaj would be the first high-profile move for the club during the current transfer window. Sociedad have sold left-back Yuri Berchiche to Paris Saint-Germain for 16 million euros this summer.
Real Sociedad are 6/1 at Bet365 to finish inside the top four in LaLiga next season.
