LaLiga: Atletico Madrid vs Real Madrid preview
Real Madrid will have to play their second derby in just four days, they face rivals Atletico Madrid at Wanda Metropolitano Stadium in LaLiga on Saturday. The reverse fixture was played in September and it produced a rather disappointing result, a goalless draw but with plenty of action at both ends. The two rivals have also clashed in the Spanish Super Cup this season and Atletico won that match 4-2 after extra-time. The last four direct matches in LaLiga all ended in draws, and overall Real Madrid have won the derby 109 times, while Atletico have defeated the Blancos on just 56 occasions. Atletico Madrid had all week to prepare for the derby as they are no longer involved in the Spanish Cup, they crashed out in the quarter-finals after a double draw against Girona. Last weekend Atletico lost 1-0 at Betis, ending a nineteen-match unbeaten streak in all competition. That defeat allowed leaders Barcelona to increase their advantage over Atletico to six points, while Real Madrid are now just two points behind Atleti in third place. Stefan Savic is injured for the home side, but Diego Godin has returned to full training and should be able to play in the derby. Diego Costa and Koke are injury doubts for Atletico. Real Madrid are going through a very busy period, they have just played a "Clasico" derby in the Spanish Cup on Wednesday, then they have the Madrid Derby on Saturday and then they will also have to deal with Ajax Amsterdam in the UEFA Champions League next week. The Blancos recorded a 1-1 draw in the Copa del Rey against Barcelona on Wednesday, a good result after a five-game winning streak in all competitions. Dani Carvajal and Raphael Varane have both served their suspensions and will return to the starting eleven, while head coach Santiago Solari doesn't have any injury concerns ahead of the derby. Probable line-ups: Atletico: Oblak - Arias, Gimenez, Godin, Hernandez - Correa, Rodrigo, Partey, Niguez - Morata, Griezmann Real: Courtois - Carvajal, Nacho, Ramos, Reguilon - Modric, Casemiro, Kroos - Vazquez, Benzema, Junior My prediction: 1-1 draw, I expect another tight match between these two rivals. Here are the odds for the match at Bet365: Atletico win - 2.37 Draw - 3.25 Real win - 3.10
