The 130th edition of the Seville Derby will take place on Sunday evening in LaLiga, when Betis take on Sevilla at Benito Villamarin Stadium. Last season the two sides shared the spoils in the two editions of the derby, Betis won 1-0 on their turf and then Sevilla got revenge with a 3-2 victory at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium in the reverse fixture. Overall, Sevilla have won three of the last six direct matches and also have the upper hand in the historic record, with 60 victories compared to just 38 for Betis.
Betis had a rather modest start to the season, they have won just three of their twelve matches in LaLiga so far and are down in fifteenth place at the moment. However, last week they managed to grab a result they can be proud of, a goalless draw at Real Madrid. That was their second consecutive positive result after the 2-1 victory over Celta Vigo in a match that was also played last week. William Carvalho, Dani Martin, Juanmi and Javi Garcia are out injured.
Sevilla have been doing quite well lately, they are undefeated in their last six matches in all competitions and have won four of them. Moreover, their last two LaLiga matches were very tough games, away at Valencia and at home against Atletico Madrid, and Sevilla managed to grab 1-1 draws in both of them. This week they had some fun in the UEFA Europa League, beating Dudelange 5-2 in Luxembourg and securing their qualification to the next round with two group matches to spare. Daniel Carrico and Bryan Gil are the only injury doubts for Sevilla ahead of the derby.

My prediction:
Sevilla are in very good form but the derby always brings out the best of Betis, so I think we will see an exciting match that might end with a 2-2 draw.
