LaLiga: Gareth Bale expected to leave Real Madrid

Gareth Bale's time at Real Madrid is about to come to an end, mainly because head coach Zinedine Zidane wants the Welsh winger to leave the club as soon as possible. The former Tottenham star was left out of the squad for the Blancos' 3-1 pre-season defeat by Bayern Munich in Houston, USA, and the head coach was quite clear in his statements about Bale's future after the match.

Zinedine Zidane said: "We hope he leaves soon. It would be best for everyone. We are working on his transfer to a new team. I have nothing personal against him, but there comes a time where things are done because they must be done." Bale still has three years on his contract with Real Madrid, and has won the Champions League four times with the Blancos after having joined them from Tottenham for 85 million pounds in 2013

Bale's agent Jonathan Barnett was infuriated by Zidane's comments and issued a venomous statement: "Zidane is a disgrace - he shows no respect for a player that has done so much for Real Madrid." The Welshman is reportedly a target for Manchester United and former club Tottenham, but there is also interest for his signature from the Chinese Super league. When asked about a possible move for Gareth Bale, Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino said: "I saw in the media but I don't know which club is trying to sign him. I don't know if we are or if it's another club. It's not my job, it's the job of my chairman, who is trying to build the best squad possible."

The 30-year-old Welshman is currently 1/3 at Bet365 to join any Chinese club this summer, 5/1 to move to Bayern Munich and 12/1 to join Tottenham.
