Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah has had an extraordinary season so far and it could end with a few new Premier League records, a top-four finish for the Reds, maybe some Champions League glory and also the European Golden Boot. Mohamed Salah has scored 30 Premier League goals for Liverpool this season, which means he is at the top of the Golden Boot rankings at the moment, ahead of Barcelona's Lionel Messi and Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski. Harry Kane, the second in the Premier League scoring charts at the moment, has bagged 26 league goals for Tottenham so far this season.
"As you can see last couple of games, the players are trying to help me a lot now to score goals, because they know now I am in for the Golden Boot'" Mohamed Salah admitted in an interview with Sky Sports. "In the end it is an individual award, but it also helps the team gets the points. The way we play is very good, and you can see the fans are very happy and I feel very good about that, I feel they want me to win something. It's the last four games, so it's very clear, I play for it. In the beginning I played for it, but it's always for the team. I want to score for the team."
Mohamed Salah is now just one goal away from equalling Alan Shearer's record of 31 goals scored in the 1995-1996 season, but he can also break Andrew Cole's record of 34 goals scored in the 1993-1994. The difference between the two records is that Shearer's was set during a 38-game Premier League season, while Cole had 42 matches to play during his record-setting campaign. Salah has joined Liverpool from Roma last summer for just over 34 million pounds after having had a disappointing experience at Chelsea a couple of years back.
Liverpool play at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday and Mohamed Salah is 10/11 at Bet365 to score at least one goal in that match.

Yeah I think Salah has the right kind of attitude about this, yes of course you want an individual award especially if your so close to it and it's a very prestigious...

But why not getting both winning the Golden boot and your team winning because of your goals meanwhile. Good luck to him, he deserves that prize if he could get it in the end.
