A new managing director has just been named for Rational Group's BetStars sportsbook brand. Fulfilling this position, and taking control of the sports betting business is Zeno Ossko, who is all set to join the team on September 12th of 2016, and will relocate to the BetStars headquarters on the Isle of Man. Further duties include being responsible for the performance of BetStars.
Prior to his appointment, William Hill executive, Jamie Hart, had been considered for the job, causing much concern for the matter by outside sources.
Ossko joins the team with over ten years of experience, specifically within the iGaming sector. He has held a number of senior management positions at mybet, before later being given the position of chief executive, replacing Sven Ivo Brinck. Prior to his time here, Ossko was also employed by software supplier, Detango AG.
Rational Group chief executive, Rafi Ashkenazi, whom Ossko will be expected to report to, commented, “Zeno is the right person to lead BetStars into the future. His experience leading a portfolio of online and retail gaming products and the development and roll-out of an omni-channel sports betting product will help position BetStars for continued product improvement and growth.”
Ashkenazi added, "He is a strong addition to our experienced executive management team.”
In regards to his latest position, Ossko adds, “I'm eager to join the team and build upon BetStars' foundations. BetStars has a bright future within the PokerStars family and I look forward to leveraging PokerStars' existing base of more than 103m registered customers as well as making BetStars a new customer acquisition channel for the company.”
