On the day of the Grand National race, OpenBet software broke records. It is the busiest time of the year for the brand, and they managed to take in a massive, 22 million sports bets, surpassing the previous record.
The chief omni-channel provider saw significant percent increases from last year. In particular, 62,000 bets per minute were processed on April 9th, a 27% increase from last year, and 60.5 million account transactions were processed, displaying an increase of 14% from 2015 as well. The number of bets made on mobile devices also saw growth, moving from 63% in 2015 to 75% this year.
