This week, chairman of online and land gambling group Paddy Power plc, Nigel Northridge, made an announcement that former chief executive officer of O2 Ireland Danuta Gray has been appointed as an independent non-executive director and a member of the Remuneration Committee.
Gray holds a B.Sc. degree in Biophysics and an MBA, and prior to O2 she was a senior vice president of BT Europe in Germany and general manager at BT Mobile in the UK. At present, she holds another non-executive director position at Aer Lingus plc.
According to Northridge, her experience and professionalism will be valuable to Paddy Power: "She will bring valuable consumer marketing insight and international markets expertise to Paddy Power."
