Paddy Power Gets Payment Processing from Realex
New service for improved player experience According to the latest industry reports, an agreement has been reached between European payment service provider Realex Payments and Irish gambling company Paddy Power, thanks to which Paddy's customers will be able to benefit from payment processing across various channels, currencies, regions and card types. The principle is simple – each acquirer will get a distinct account, and there will be a total of 12 distinct channels of payment, each capable of processing in both Euro and Sterling. On the innovation, Michael Nolan, payments & operational development manager for Paddy Power commented: “A key requirement of ours was to ensure maximum customer acceptance to support a non-disruptive player experience. With Realex Payments as part of our card payment architecture we met this requirement via their RealResult service." On the other side, Andrew Yoakley, head of business development, UK and Ireland for Realex Payments specified: “Paddy Power process high volumes of transactions through multiple channels to numerous acquirers, so our solution needed to support a complex configuration in a transparent and easily manageable way.”
