Arsene Wenger's Arsenal take on Antonio Conte's Chelsea in a London derby that will take place at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday evening. The Gunners will be looking for revenge as last season they lost both league matches against Chelsea, 1-0 at home and 2-0 at Stamford Bridge. The last time Arsenal beat Chelsea at home in a league match was in 2010, when one of the goal scorers was Cesc Fabregas, now at Chelsea.
Things have been going fairly well for Arsenal so far this season, they have not lost a match since the opening day defeat against Liverpool. This week they eased past Nottingham Forest in the League Cup, their second consecutive win after the 4-1 triumph over Hull City in the Premier League last weekend. Aaron Ramsey, Per Mertesacker, Danny Welbeck and Carl Jenkinson are still injured, while Olivier Giroud has also picked up a knock but might be fit for a place on the bench.
Antonio Conte's reign at Chelsea started with four consecutive wins, before a 2-2 draw against Swansea and a 2-1 loss at Stamford Bridge against Liverpool cast some doubts over the team's level of play at the moment. This week they recovered with a 4-2 victory over Leicester City in the League Cup, with former Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas scoring both extra-time goals. John Terry is a fitness doubt while Kurt Zouma and Marco van Ginkel will surely miss out.
Probable line-ups:
Arsenal: Cech - Bellerin, Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal - Cazorla, Coquelin - Walcott, Ozil, Iwobi - Sanchez
Chelsea: Courtois - Ivanovic, Cahill, Luiz, Azpilicueta - Kante - Willian, Oscar, Matic, Hazard - Costa
My prediction: 2-2 draw.
