Premier League: Arsenal vs West Ham preview

Arsenal are facing another London derby on Saturday as they host West Ham United at the Emirates Stadium in a match between two teams that are still looking to get their first points on the board in the new Premier League season. Last season Arsenal grabbed a 4-1 victory in their home match against West Ham after a goalless draw in the reverse fixture. The two teams have also met in the League Cup last season and Arsenal won that match 1-0. Overall, Arsenal have won four of the last six direct matches, while West Ham's last victory against the Gunners was in 2015. Unai Emery's spell as manager at Arsenal has started with back-to-back defeats, 2-0 at home against defending champions Manchester City and then 3-2 at Chelsea last weekend. It is true that the Gunners had a very tough schedule at the start of the season, but they were surely expecting to get at least one point out of the first two league matches. They can redeem themselves against West Ham United on Sunday and the first step would be keeping a clean sheet.
