Third-placed Tottenham will be looking to extend their Premier League unbeaten streak when they visit Bournemouth on Saturday at the Vitality Stadium. Last season the Spurs really hammered the Cherries, beating them 5-1 away and 3-0 at home, but this time the matches against Bournemouth could prove quite a bit tougher for Mauricio Pochettino and his players.
Bournemouth have been doing a decent job so far this season, they are currently in 11th place and enjoying a three-match unbeaten streak. Moreover, last weekend they grabbed a confidence-boosting 6-1 victory over Hull City. That result, coming after a 2-2 draw at Watford and a 1-0 home victory over Everton, surely gives the home side hope of getting something out of Saturday's match against Tottenham.
Tottenham remain the only unbeaten team in the Premier League after eight matches, but the three draws that they have recorded so far result in a third-place spot for the Spurs at the moment, just one point behind Manchester City and Arsenal. Last weekend Tottenham were held to a 1-1 draw at West Bromwich Albion, followed up by a goalless draw in the Champions League at Bayer Leverkusen. Harry Kane is still out of contention, while Toby Alderweireld picked up a knock as well.
Probable line-ups:
Bournemouth: Boruc - Smith, Francis, Cook, Daniels - Surman, Arter - Stanislas, Wilshere, Ibe - Wilson
Tottenham: Lloris - Walker, Dier, Vertonghen, Davies - Wanyama - Sissoko, Eriksen, Alli, Son Heung-Min - Janssen
My prediction: Tottenham to win 2-1.
Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:
Bournemouth win - 3.80
Draw - 3.50
Tottenham win - 1.95
