Leicester City are looking to extend their unbeaten run to four games when they visit Brighton at the Amex Stadium on Saturday. Last season the Foxes dominated the Seagulls, they won both Premier League matches 2-0 with goals from Shinji Okazaki, Harry Maguire, Vicente Iborra and Jamie Vardy. Things were different when both teams were playing in the Championship, during the 2013-2014 season it was Brighton that defeated Leicester 3-1 at home and 4-1 away. Overall, Leicester have won three of the last six direct matches, while Brighton grabbed two victories.
Brighton had a poor start to the season, with just one victory in their first seven Premier League matches, but then they turned things around with three consecutive wins in October. All those three victories were 1-0, over West Ham, Newcastle and Wolves. However, after that winning streak the Seagulls were unable to avoid defeat in the following two away games, they lost 3-1 at Everton and 2-1 at Cardiff. They have scored one goal in each of their last five matches, though. Dale Stephens is suspended for Saturday's match, while new signing Alireza Jahanbakhsh is still injured. David Button, Pascal Gross and Davy Propper have all recovered from their knocks during the international break and should be in contention for starting places.
Leicester didn't have an amazing season so far, they have been quite unlucky both on and off the pitch, but they still have a decent spot in the middle of the Premier League table. They are undefeated in their last three matches, they recorded a 1-1 draw at home against West Ham at the end of October, then a 1-0 victory at Cardiff and a goalless draw at home against Burnley just before the international break. Central defender Harry Maguire was unavailable for England due to an injury and will be unavailable for Saturday's match, along with Daniel Amartey and Matty James. James Maddison and Jamie Vardy have also been suffering lately, but they should be ready to play on Saturday.
