Premier League: Brighton vs Manchester City preview
Manchester City will be looking to secure their sixth Premier League title when they visit Brighton at Amex Stadium on Sunday. The Citizens have won the reverse fixture 2-0 in September with goals from Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling, and they have also beaten the Seagulls in the FA Cup semi-finals thanks to a goal from Gabriel Jesus. Manchester City have won the last four matches against Brighton in all competitions, the last time Brighton managed to avoid defeat against the Citizens was in 2008 when they won a League Cup match on penalties. The last league victory for Brighton over Manchester City was in 1989 in Division Two. Brighton have already achieved their goal this season, they are safe from relegation and they can now look forward to another campaign in the top flight. They have been very hard to defeat recently, last weekend they snatched a 1-1 draw at Arsenal, ending the Gunners' top-four hopes, and two weeks before that they lost 1-0 at Tottenham on a last-minute goal from Christian Eriksen. But now, with relegation already avoided, the Seagulls might lack the motivation to fight against Manchester City. Jose Izquierdo has a knee problem and won't be able to play in this match, while Davy Propper is expected to recover from a thigh injury. Manchester City have the Premier League title in their hands, they are one point above Liverpool in the table and it all depends on their result at Brighton. The Citizens would grab consecutive Premier League titles for the first time in their history if they beat Brighton in Sunday's match. The Citizens seemed less flamboyant in recent weeks, but they did manage to get clean sheets in their last four Premier League matches, which they won by narrow margins. Last week they defeated Leicester 1-0 thanks to an outstanding goal from captain Vincent Kompany, and the week before they snatched a 1-0 win at Burnley. Kevin De Bruyne and Claudio Bravo are still sidelined, while Fernandinho might overcome a knee issue to play in this match. Probable line-ups: Brighton: Ryan - Bruno, Duffy, Dunk, Bernardo - Knockaert, Gross, Stephens, Bissouma, March - Murray Man City: Ederson - Walker, Kompany, Laporte, Zinchenko - Foden, Gundogan, D. Silva - B. Silva, Aguero, Sterling My prediction: Manchester City to win 2-0, the Citizens are determined to get this done. Here are the odds for the match at Bet365: Brighton win - 19.00 Draw - 8.50 Man City win - 1.16
