Chelsea and Arsenal will clash in a Premier League London derby on Sunday at Stamford Bridge, victory in this match would mean a lot to both sets of supporters. The two teams have already met at the start of the season in the Community Shield, it ended 1-1 after 90 minutes and Arsenal eventually won the trophy after the penalty shoot-out. Arsenal beat Chelsea 2-1 in last season's FA Cup final, but the Blues won the Premier League direct meeting at Stamford Bridge 3-1. In fact, the Gunners have not won at Stamford Bridge since 2011.
Chelsea seem back on track after having started the season with a shock 3-2 defeat at home against Burnley. They bounced back with four consecutive wins in all competitions, including this week's 6-0 Champions League triumph over Qarabag. David Luiz, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Eden Hazard and Alvaro Morata were all rested in midweek and should return to the starting eleven for the derby, but Victor Moses could lose his place to Davide Zappacosta after the Italian scored in the Champions League. Danny Drinkwater is still injured and might be out until October.
Arsenal have already suffered two defeats this season, 1-0 at Stoke and 4-0 at Liverpool, but now they can be a bit more optimistic after two consecutive wins in all competitions. Last weekend they defeated Bournemouth 3-0, while on Thursday they fought back from 1-0 down at half time to beat FC Koln 3-1 in the Europa League. Santi Cazorla and Francis Coquelin are the only names remaining on the injured list, while Theo Walcott is a fitness doubt after having picked up a knock in the Europa League match.
Probable line-ups:
Chelsea: Courtois - Azpilicueta, Luiz, Cahill - Zappacosta, Bakayoko, Kante, Alonso - Hazard, Pedro - Morata
Arsenal: Cech - Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal - Bellerin, Xhaka, Ramsey, Kolasinac - Sanchez, Ozil - Lacazette
My prediction: Chelsea to win 2-1.
Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:
