Premier League: Chelsea vs Arsenal preview
The second weekend of the Premier League season brings a very interesting London Derby between two teams that have new managers, Chelsea and Arsenal. The two teams have met in a friendly match earlier this summer, it ended 1-1 with goals from Antonio Rudiger and Alexandre Lacazette, while last season both Premier League matches ended with draws, 0-0 at Stamford Bridge and 2-2 at the Emirates Stadium. However, the Gunners have defeated Chelsea 2-1 on aggregate in the League Cup semi-finals in January. Chelsea kicked off their season with a convincing 3-0 victory at Huddersfield last weekend, marking a successful debut for new manager Maurizio Sarri. N'Golo Kante, Jorginho and Pedro provided the goals for the Blues at Huddersfield, where goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga also made his Premier League debut with a clean sheet. Cesc Fabregas will be unavailable for Saturday's match due to a knee injury, but Eden Hazard should be ready for the starting eleven after coming on from the bench last weekend. Mateo Kovacic was not in the squad at Huddersfield but he will probably make the bench this time. Arsenal didn't give their supporters much hope after their opening match last weekend, they were clearly defeated 2-0 by Manchester City and the defending champions didn't even seem to try very hard. The Gunners already have an injury crisis at left-back as Ainsley Maitland-Niles hobbled off the pitch last weekend while Sead Kolasinac and Nacho Monreal were already out of contention. Right-back Stephan Lichtsteiner will most likely play on the left flank, while Lucas Torreira and Alexandre Lacazette should make the starting eleven after good performances as substitutes last weekend. Probable line-ups: Chelsea: Arrizabalaga - Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Luiz, Alonso - Kante, Jorginho, Loftus-Cheek - Pedro, Morata, Hazard Arsenal: Cech - Bellerin, Mustafi, Sokratis, Lichtsteiner - Torreira, Guendouzi - Mkhitaryan, Ozil, Aubameyang - Lacazette My prediction: Chelsea to win 2-1, Arsenal look like work in progress at the moment and their defence was very shaky against Man City last weekend. Here are the odds for the match at Bet365: Chelsea win - 1.80 Draw - 4.00 Arsenal win - 4.00
