Premier League leaders Chelsea will try to defend their position as they host Tottenham in the London Derby at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. Last season both matches ended undecided, 2-2 at Stamford Bridge and 0-0 at White Hart Lane. Chelsea have won two of the last five direct meetings, but Tottenham will surely remember their 5-3 victory in 2015. However, the Spurs have not won a league match at Stamford Bridge since 1990.
Chelsea have recorded six consecutive league wins and moved to the top of the table last weekend. They scored 17 goals in those six wins and conceded none, a perfect record. Kurt Zouma and Marco van Ginkel are the only injury concerns for manager Antonio Conte, both are lacking match fitness and might need more time before they are ready to be placed in the starting eleven.
Tottenham have been struggling lately, they managed to end a seven-game winless streak in all competitions with a 3-2 Premier League victory over West Ham last weekend, but then suffered a 2-1 defeat at Monaco in the Champions League, ending their chances of making it to the knockout round. Erik Lamela, Ben Davies and Toby Alderweireld are injured, while Danny Rose is suspended.
Probable line-ups:
Chelsea: Courtois - Azpilicueta, Luiz, Cahill - Moses, Matic, Kante, Alonso - Pedro, Costa, Hazard
Tottenham: Lloris - Walker, Dier, Wimmer, Vertonghen - Wanyama, Dembele - Son Heung-Min, Alli, Eriksen - Kane
My prediction: Chelsea to win 2-1.
Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:
Chelsea win - 1.75
Draw - 3.80
Tottenham win - 5.25
