Premier League: Crystal Palace vs Manchester United preview
Manchester United will be looking to get back to winning ways and maybe climb back up into the Premier League top four when they travel to face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Wednesday. The reverse fixture was quite problematic for the Red Devils, though, it ended goalless and it was just a few weeks before Jose Mourinho got sacked. Before that match Manchester United had won five consecutive league matches against Crystal Palace, including last season's 3-2 in London and 4-0 in Manchester. Overall, the Red Devils have won eight of the last ten direct matches in all competitions, while the Eagles have not won a league match against Man United since 1991. Crystal Palace have been in very good form lately, they are unbeaten in their last six matches in all competitions and have won four of them. Last week they secured a 4-1 victory at Leicester City, which led to the dismissal of Foxes manager Claude Puel on Monday. That was the most convincing league victory of the season for the Eagles and it lifted them to thirteenth place, six points clear of the relegation zone and ten points behind seventh-placed Watford. Mamadou Sakho picked up an injury during that match and will be unavailable for Wednesday's game, along with Pape Souare, Julian Speroni and Martin Kelly. Right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka is an injury doubt for the home side. Manchester United returned to winning ways with a 2-0 FA Cup victory over Chelsea last week, but at the weekend they were unable to get more than a goalless draw in the North West Derby against Liverpool at Old Trafford. That result saw the Red Devils drop to fifth position in the league table, just one point behind fourth-placed Arsenal. Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has to deal with an injury crisis at the moment as Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata and Ander Herrera got injured during the first half of the match against Liverpool. They will be unavailable for Wednesday's game, along with Antonio Valencia, Nemanja Matic, Matteo Darmian and Anthony Martial. Marcus Rashford has also picked up a knock in last weekend's game and is an injury doubt for Wednesday. Probable line-ups: Crystal Palace: Guaita - Ward, Tomkins, Dann, Van Aanholt - McArthur, Milivojevic, Schlupp - Townsend, Batshuayi, Zaha Man United: De Gea - Young, Smalling, Lindelof, Shaw - Pogba, McTominay, Fred - Pereira - Sanchez, Lukaku My prediction: Crystal Palace to win 2-1, the injury crisis might be too much for Manchester United at the moment, and the Eagles are in very good form. Here are the odds for the match at Bet365: Crystal Palace win - 3.25 Draw - 3.40 Man United win - 2.35
