Premier League: Everton vs Crystal Palace preview
Everton will be looking to bounce back to winning ways when they host Crystal Palace at Goodison Park on Friday evening. Last season both direct meetings ended without a winner, 0-0 at Crystal Palace and 1-1 at Everton. Crystal Palace have done well at Everton recently though, they won twice in 2014 and the Toffees have not beaten them at home since a 4-0 in 2005. Overall, Everton won just three of the last matches against the Eagles, while five ended in draws. Everton had a great start to the season, securing five consecutive wins in all competitions after the opening day draw against Tottenham. Their winning streak came to an end last weekend as they lost 1-0 at Bournemouth, but Ronald Koeman and his men will be hoping to get back to winning ways as soon as possible. Leighton Baines did not play last weekend and might miss out again while Darron Gibson is a fitness doubt as well. James McCarthy, Matthew Pennington, Tyias Browning and Muhamed Besic are out of contention due to injuries. Crystal Palace haven't done so bad so far this season, but they haven't been exceptional either. They won four of their eight competitive games so far, but they crashed out of the League Cup and also lost their first two Premier League matches. However, they are undefeated in their last four league matches and they will be hoping to extend that streak. Scott Dann, Pape Souare and Loic Remy are all injured, but Wilfried Zaha might recover from a hamstring strain just in time. Probable line-ups: Everton: Stekelenburg - Coleman, Jagielka, Williams, Oviedo - Gueye, Barry - Bolasie, Barkley, Cleverley - Lukaku Crystal Palace: Mandanda - Ward, Tomkins, Delaney, Kelly - Cabaye, McArthur - Zaha, Puncheon, Townsend - Benteke My prediction: Everton to win 2-1. Here are the odds for the match at Bet365: Everton win - 1.73 Draw - 4.00 Crystal Palace win - 5.00
