Premier League: Everton vs Tottenham preview
Everton host Tottenham at Goodison Park on Saturday in a match between two sides that are both looking for their second victory of the Premier League season. Last season Tottenham snatched a 1-1 draw at Goodison Park thanks to a goal from Erik Lamela after Ross Barkley had opened the scoring for Everton early on. The Toffees have not beaten Tottenham in nine matches, their last triumph over the Spurs was back in 2012. However, Tottenham have won just one of their last ten matches at Goodison Park. Everton can be quite happy with how their season went so far, they started with a 1-0 home victory over Stoke City, made it to the Europa League group stage after knocking out Hajduk Split in the play-offs and earned a 1-1 draw at Manchester City. However, last time out they got beaten 2-0 by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and they will be looking to bounce back from that. Morgan Schneiderlin is available again after having served his suspension, while Ramiro Funes Mori, Ross Barkley, Seamus Coleman and Yannick Bolasie are injured and will miss out. Tottenham were hoping for a better start to the season, they have won just one of their three matches so far. They started with a convincing 2-0 victory at Newcastle on opening day, but then lost 2-1 at home against reigning champions Chelsea and last time out they got held to a 1-1 home draw by Burnley. Erik Lamela, Danny Rose and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou are all unavailable through injury, while Victor Wanyama is a fitness doubt. Deadline-day signings Serge Aurier and Fernando Llorente might start this one on the bench. Probable line-ups: Everton: Pickford - Keane, Williams, Jagielka - Holgate, Gueye, Schneiderlin, Baines - Rooney, Sigurdsson - Ramirez Tottenham: Lloris - Trippier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies - Dier, Dembele - Son Heung-Min, Alli, Eriksen - Keane My prediction: 1-1 draw. Here are the odds for the match at Bet365: Everton win - 3.75 Draw - 3.40 Tottenham win - 2.00
