Premier League: Liverpool vs Bournemouth preview
Premier League leaders Liverpool are looking to get back to winning ways and put some daylight between them and Manchester City, all they need is the three points against Bournemouth at Anfield on Saturday. The Reds won the reverse fixture quite comfortably, it ended 4-0 and Mohamed Salah managed to bag a hat-trick. That was the third consecutive win for Liverpool over Bournemouth, and the Reds also managed to keep a clean sheet in those last three matches. However, Bournemouth did manage to beat Liverpool 4-3 at home in 2016 and then grabbed a 2-2 draw at Anfield last season. Liverpool have lost their place at the top of the Premier League table this week, but it's only on goal difference and they do have a game in hand on Manchester City. The two teams are now tied on 62 points after the Citizens won 2-0 at Everton on Wednesday, while third-placed Tottenham are five points behind. Liverpool have recorded consecutive 1-1 draws in their last two Premier League matches, first at home against Leicester and then at West Ham on Monday. Trent Alexander-Arnold, Georgino Wijnaldum and Jordan Henderson are all injury doubts for the home team after having missed the match against West Ham. Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, Joe Gomez and Dejan Lovren remain sidelined. Bournemouth had their two-game winning streak snapped last weekend as they lost 2-0 at Cardiff, but they are still sitting comfortably in tenth place in the league table. Relegation should not be a concern for the Cherries as they are eleven points clear of the danger zone with thirteen matches left in the season, but they are hoping to improve their position. Lewis Cook, Simon Francis, David Brooks and Callum Wilson are all sidelined, but new signing Dominic Solanke could have the chance to play against his former club. Liverpool right-back Nathaniel Clyne has joined the Cherries on loan during the January transfer window but he is not eligible to play against his parent club. Probable line-ups: Liverpool: Alisson - Milner, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson - Wijnaldum, Fabinho, Keita - Salah, Firmino, Mane Bournemouth: Boruc - Smith, S. Cook, Ake, Daniels - Stanislas, Lerma, Surman, Fraser - King - Solanke My prediction: Liverpool to win 2-0, the Reds can't afford any more slip-ups is such matches. Here are the odds for the match at Bet365: Liverpool win - 1.20 Draw - 7.00 Bournemouth win - 12.00
