Liverpool will be looking to extend their unbeaten streak when they host West Bromwich Albion at Anfield Road on Saturday, but the Baggies are on an unbeaten streak of their own. Last season West Brom managed to upset the odds against Liverpool in both league matches, they drew 1-1 at home and 2-2 away. Moreover, it was just three years ago when West Brom pulled off a 2-0 victory at Anfield Road.
Liverpool are now unbeaten in their last eight matches in all competitions, following the surprising 2-0 defeat at Burnley early in the season. Jurgen Klopp and his men seem to have found the right tempo, even though on Monday they got frustrated into a goalless draw by rivals Manchester United. Georginio Wijnaldum has recovered from a hamstring strain and will most likely play, but James Milner picked up a knock during Monday's match and might miss out.
West Brom are unbeaten in their last four Premier League matches, a positive run for them even though the last three results were all 1-1 draws. Last weekend they came close to beating undefeated Tottenham but an 89th-minute goal from Dele Alli cancelled the opener scored by former Spurs player Nacer Chadli. Chris Brunt made his return on the pitch in that match, making his first appearance in a competitive match since February. Johnny Evans will miss out as he has already picked up five yellow cards this season.
Probable line-ups:
Liverpool: Karius - Clyne, Lovren, Matip, Milner - Lallana, Henderson, Can - Mane, Firmino, Coutinho
West Brom: Foster - Dawson, McAuley, Olsson, Nyom - Fletcher, Yacob - Phillips, Chadli, McClean - Rondon
My prediction: Liverpool to win 1-0.
Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:
Liverpool win - 1.25
Draw - 6.00
West Brom win - 10.00
