Premier League side Manchester City are looking to sell Spanish forward Nolito after just one season, with LaLiga outfit Real Betis currently negotiating a deal. Nolito joined Manchester City from Celta Vigo for almost 14 million pounds last summer, now the Citizens are willing to sell him for just under 4 million pounds. Nolito has made 19 Premier League appearances this season and scored four goals, but manager Pep Guardiola gave him less and less chances to play in the second half of the campaign.
He has started just one game in 2017, the FA Cup match against Huddersfield, and played just 42 minutes in the Premier League this calendar year. He had signed a four-year contract with Manchester City last summer and had an impressive start with two goals scored against Stoke City in his second match in England. Real Betis are currently 15th in LaLiga but relegation is no longer a concern for them as they are trying to build a better squad for next season. The Spanish club will have some negotiating to do with Nolito, as he earned 100,000 pounds per week at Manchester City.
Manchester City will also part company with full-back Pablo Zabaleta this summer, the Argentinian international has announced that he will move on after nine years at the Etihad Stadium. Manchester City will end the season without a trophy, a situation which manager Pep Guardiola said it would have led to his sacking if he was managing Bayern Munich or Barcelona. The Spanish boss will most likely have an active summer transfer window as another campaign without silverware would probably end his reign in Manchester.
Manchester City are 9/4 at Bet365 to win the Premier League title next season.
