Manchester United are currently negotiating the transfer of Mexico rising star Hirving Lozano, according to the player's club Pachuca. The Red Devils have signed Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Eric Bailly this summer, while the transfer of Borussia Dortmund star Henrikh Mkhitaryan is set to be confirmed shortly. Lozano is just 20 years old but has already earned 7 caps for the Mexico senior national team and has also scored a goal for his nation.
Lozano has scored 21 goals in 91 matches in the Mexican top-flight. Pachuca vice-president Andres Fassi revealed that they are negotiating with Manchester United. "Already there are negotiations with United - there is still nothing closed though," Fassi said. Hirving Lozano will represent Mexico at the Olympic Games football tournament in Rio de Janeiro.
But the player's father-in-law says the deal has already been done with a formal announcement to be made later this summer. "It's all done," he said. "Just missing some details and then after the Olympics it becomes official." Lozano would become the second Mexican player to join Manchester United after Javier Hernandez, who was bought from Guadalajara in 2009.
Manchester United are 7/2 at Bet365 to win the Premier League title this season.
