Premier League: Manchester United vs Everton Preview
Manchester United and Everton will both be looking to get back to winning ways when they clash at Old Trafford on Tuesday. The reverse fixture at Goodison Park ended 1-1 in December, Leighton Baines converted a late penalty kick to make it all square after Zlatan Ibrahimovic had opened the scoring for Manchester United. The Toffees have not won at Old Trafford since 2013, while Manchester United have won three of the last four direct meetings. Manchester United were held to a goalless draw at home by West Bromwich Albion last weekend, Jose Mourinho's men dominated the game but only managed to send three shots on target. The result leaves the Red Devils in fifth place, five points behind fourth-placed Manchester City, but Manchester United have a game in hand. Chris Smalling, Phil Jones and Juan Mata are injured and will surely miss out, while Paul Pogba might recover in time for the game but for now his chances of playing are not great. Everton suffered a painful defeat last weekend as Merseyside rivals Liverpool beat them 3-1 in a game that the Reds dominated. Everton are seventh in the league table, just three points behind Manchester United, but the Red Devils have two games in hand on the Toffees. Victory at Old Trafford would put Everton back in the chase for a top-five finish, while anything but a win would probably leave them out of that race. Morgan Schneiderlin, Yannick Bolasie, Seamus Coleman, Ramiro Funes Mori, Muhamed Besic and James McCarthy are all injured and won't play on Tuesday. Probable line-ups: Man United: De Gea - Valencia, Bailly, Rojo, Young - Carrick, Herrera - Lingard, Mkhitaryan, Rashford - Ibrahimovic Everton: Robles - Holgate, Jagielka, Williams, Baines - Barry, Gueye - Valencia, Barkley, Mirallas - Lukaku My prediction: Manchester United to win 2-1. Here are the odds for the match at Bet365: Man United win - 1.57 Draw - 4.20 Everton win - 6.50
