Premier League: Manchester United vs Everton preview
Struggling Everton could sink even deeper as they have a tough trip to make on Sunday, they will face unbeaten Manchester United at Old Trafford. Last season both Premier League direct matches ended 1-1, after Manchester United had won all three previous encounters in all competitions. Everton have not won at Old Trafford since 2013, but they did beat the Red Devils at Goodison Park twice since then. Overall, Manchester United have won five of the last ten direct meetings in all competitions. Manchester United are still unbeaten this season but last weekend's 2-2 draw at Stoke City was somewhat disappointing for Jose Mourinho and his men because they fought back from 1-0 down and had a 2-1 lead in the second half. This week the Red Devils kicked off their Champions League campaign with a comfortable 3-0 victory at home over Basel. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is still out and will remain so for quite some time, while Paul Pogba will also be sidelined for up to six weeks. Antonio Valencia, Phil Jones and Eric Bailly were rested in midweek so they will probably return to the starting eleven on Sunday. Everton are having a very tough start to the season, they have won just four matches in all competitions and three of those wins were in the preliminary rounds of the Europa League. In the Premier League they won just the opening day match against Stoke, then secured a good 1-1 draw at Man City before losing back-to-back games without scoring, 2-0 at Chelsea and 3-0 at home against Tottenham last weekend. Their Europa League group stage campaign also started on the wrong foot as they got hammered 3-0 by Atalanta on Thursday. It will be a special match for Wayne Rooney as he returns to Old Trafford to play against his former team. Probable line-ups: Man United: De Gea - Valencia, Bailly, Jones, Blind - Fellaini, Matic, Herrera - Mkhitaryan, Lukaku, Rashford Everton: Pickford - Keane, Williams, Jagielka - Martina, Gueye, Davies, Baines - Rooney, Sigurdsson - Ramirez My prediction: Manchester United to win 3-1. Here are the odds for the match at Bet365: Man United win - 1.36 Draw - 5.25 Everton win - 10.00
