Premier League: Manchester United vs Everton preview
Manchester United are looking to get back to winning ways when they face Everton at Old Trafford on Sunday. Last season the Red Devils brushed aside the Toffees in both league matches, they won 4-0 in Manchester and then 2-0 at Goodison Park. In the 2016-2017 season both league matches ended with 1-1 draws, and before that Manchester United had three consecutive wins over Everton in all competitions. The Toffees have not won a match at Old Trafford since December 2013, when Bryan Oviedo scored the only goal of the match on an assist from current Man United striker Romelu Lukaku. Manchester United had a pretty impressive performance last weekend, when they nearly defeated Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. A late goal from Ross Barkley gave the Blues a 2-2 draw, and three days later Manchester United were denied by Juventus in the Champions League as Paulo Dybala scored at Old Trafford to give the Bianconeri a 1-0 victory. Manchester United have won just one of their last seven matches in all competitions, that is a terrible record by any standards. Marcos Rojo and Jese Lingard are injured and won't be in the match squad, but right-back Antonio Valencia has returned to training and could be a part of the starting eleven. Alexis Sanchez, Phil Jones and Marouane Fellaini remain injury doubts. Everton have won their last two Premier League matches and are hoping to continue this positive streak, albeit with a draw at Old Trafford. Last weekend the Toffees won 2-0 against Crystal Palace at Goodison Park, with goals from Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Cenk Tosun, while before the international break they had won 2-1 at Leicester with goals from Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson. Andre Gomes made his debut for Everton in last week's match but didn't show much, while defender Yerry Mina was an unused substitute. James McCarthy and Beni Baningime are short on match fitness as well and will most likely have to settle for places on the bench. Probable line-ups: Man United: De Gea - Valencia, Smalling, Lindelof, Shaw - Herrera, Matic, Pogba - Rashford, Lukaku, Martial Everton: Pickford - Coleman, Keane, Zouma, Digne - Gomes, Gueye - Walcott, Sigurdsson, Bernard - Richarlison My prediction: Everton to win 2-1, Manchester United are not looking like a team at the moment and they probably won't recover as long as Mourinho remains in charge. Here are the odds for the match at Bet365: Man United win - 1.64 Draw - 3.75 Everton win - 5.25
