Premier League: Manchester United vs Huddersfield preview
Manchester United are looking to add another victory to their great start under the new manager when they host Huddersfield at Old Trafford on Boxing Day. Last season the Red Devils were defeated 2-1 at Huddersfield in the first ever Premier League meeting between the two sides, but then got revenge with a 2-0 victory at Old Trafford with goals from Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez. The two teams also met in the fifth round of the FA Cup last season and Manchester United won that match 2-0 thanks to a double from striker Romelu Lukaku. The last time Huddersfield won an away match at Manchester United was all the way back in 1930. Manchester United seem to have found fresh impetus under new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the Norwegian boss started his reign with a convincing 5-1 victory at Cardiff last weekend. The last time the Red Devils scored five goals was in 2013, when Sir Alex Ferguson was still in charge of the club! It's still early days for Solskjaer at Old Trafford but it is obvious that he is trying a different approach than Mourinho, and so far it is working. Alexis Sanchez and Marcos Rojo are out injured, Romelu Lukaku is away on compassionate leave, while Chris Smalling is still an injury doubt. Huddersfield are going through a very difficult period, they have lost their last five Premier League matches and seem settled to stay in the relegation zone for a long time. They have won just two of their eighteen matches so far this season, scored just 11 goals and conceded 31. Last week they lost 3-1 at home against fellow relegation candidates Southampton, and manager David Wagner might find himself under very intense pressure soon. Abdelhamid Sabiri, Aaron Mooy, Tommy Smith and Danny Williams are all out injured, while Rajiv van La Parra and Jonathan Hogg might also miss out. Probable line-ups: Man United: De Gea - Dalot, Bailly, Lindelof, Shaw - Fred, Matic, Pogba - Lingard, Rashford, Martial Huddersfield: Lossl - Zanka, Schindler, Kongolo - Hadergjonaj, Bacuna, Billing, Durm - Pritchard - Mbenza, Mounie My prediction: Manchester United to win 4-0, the unleashed Red Devils shouldn't have any problems against Huddersfield. Here are the odds for the match at Bet365: Man United win - 1.25 Draw - 6.50 Huddersfield win - 15.00
