Jose Mourinho's Manchester United will try to secure their second consecutive win of the season when they face Southampton at Old Trafford on Friday evening. This will be the first home match for the Portuguese manager and it could also be the chance for Paul Pogba to make his official return at the Red Devils after this summer's record-breaking transfer from Juventus. Southampton have won on their last two visits at Old Trafford, but Manchester United won the last two matches at St Mary's.

Juan Mata, Wayne Rooney and Zlatan Ibrahimovic delivered the goals which gave the Red Devils a comfortable victory and their fans hopes of a much more entertaining campaign.
Southampton were held to a 1-1 draw by Watford last weekend, with Nathan Redmond securing a point for the Saints with a goal on his debut for the club. New manager Claude Puel will have a tough job replacing his successful predecessor Roald Koeman, especially after the club sold several first-team players this summer. Sadio Mane, Graziano Pelle and Victor Wanyama left the club, while their replacements are Nathan Redmond, Alex McCarthy, Jeremy Pied and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. Captain Jose Fonte could also leave as he is reportedly wanted by Manchester United.

United looked completely different team than the last couple of seasons in their first game and will be interesting id they could establish the good impressions...

If they are after something this season the good start is vital I think, especially when e know all the top teams will be eager to do well this season after the fail in last.
