Premier League champions Manchester City are looking to record their third consecutive win when they visit newly-promoted Norwich at Carrow Road on Saturday. The two sides have not met since the 2015-2016 season, when the Canaries managed to hold the Citizens to a goalless draw at Carrow Road. Manchester City have won just two of the last six direct matches in all competitions and Norwich recorded goalless draws in the last two home matches in the Premier League against Man City.
Norwich have lost three of their four Premier League matches so far this season, but they have faced both Chelsea and Liverpool. They did record a 3-1 win at home against Newcastle, with striker Teemu Pukki bagging a hat-trick. Before the international break Pukki recorded his first match without scoring this season, and Norwich lost 2-0 at West Ham United. Tom Trybull, Timm Klose and Onel Hernandez are out injured, while central defenders Grant Hanley and Christoph Zimmerman are doubtful.
Manchester City can't afford any slip-ups, they are two points behind leaders Liverpool and they have to keep winning. They did win three out of four this season, but we'll probably see another head-to-head race above 90 points the end of the season between them and Liverpool. Before the international break the Citizens demolished Brighton 4-0 with a double from Sergio Aguero. Aymeric Laporte and Leroy Sane are out injured, while John Stones, Benjamin Mendy, Gabriel Jesus and Ilkay Gundogan are all doubtful.
Probable line-ups:
Norwich: Krul - Aarons, Hanley, Godfrey, Lewis - Cantwell, Vrancic, Amadou, Tettey, Buendia - Pukki
Man City: Ederson - Walker, Stones, Otamendi, Zinchenko - De Bruyne, Rodrigo, D. Silva - B. Silva, Aguero, Sterling
My prediction:
Teemu Pukki will most likely find the back of the net again, but the good news stops there for Norwich. The Canaries won't be able to cope with Man City's attacking force, I think the Citizens will record a 5-1 victory.
Here are the odds for the match at NetBet:
Norwich win - 15.75
Draw - 8.50
Man City win - 1.16

What a performance by the home side it's been, they've had to deal with 11 injuries and that makes it even better of achievement I think. There were mistake by the City defense yes but all the credit to Norwich and especially their manager for bravery of setting the play and tactics they way he did it, not many would of done that against supposedly the "best team in the world".
