Watford are looking to recover from last weekend's disaster when they travel to the Liberty Stadium to face Swansea on Saturday. Last season Watford snatched a goalless draw at Swansea before beating them 1-0 at home. The last eight meetings between these two sides were very close, they either ended in draws or wins by a one-goal margin. Swansea have won just one of the last four direct meetings in the Premier League, while Watford have not won at the Liberty Stadium since 2008.
Swansea have been struggling to create chances this season, they have failed to send a single shot on target in three of their five Premier League matches so far and have scored just two goals. However, last weekend they held out for a goalless draw at Tottenham, despite failing to get a shot on target. This week they secured a 2-0 victory over Reading in the League Cup. Nathan Dyer and Kyle Bartley are injured and won't be able to play on Saturday, while Leon Britton should return to the starting eleven after being rested in midweek.
Watford lost 6-0 at home against Manchester City last weekend, they were a bit unlucky but overall the Citizens outplayed them quite clearly. However, they have lost just two of their six matches in all competitions so far and their only two wins of the campaign were secured away from home. Miguel Britos is suspended for this match while Sebastian Prodl and Kiko Femenia are fitness doubts. Tommie Hoban , Younes Kaboul and Craig Cathcart will surely miss out due to injuries.
Probable line-ups:
Swansea: Fabianski - Naughton, Mawson, Fernandez, Olsson - Clucas, Britton, Carroll - Sanches - Ayew, Abraham
Watford: Gomes - Femenia, Prodl, Kabasele, Holebas - Doucoure, Chalobah - Carrillo, Pereyra, Richarlison - Deeney
My prediction: 2-2 draw.
Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:
Swansea win - 2.30
Draw - 3.25
Watford win - 3.10
