Former Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood has been interviewed for the job at West Brom and is on a shortlist of six candidates for the position. The Baggies are expected to decide by the end of the week, with all candidates due to have been interviewed by Tuesday. Sherwood was sacked by Spurs on 13 May, just five months after he replaced Andre Villas-Boas as manager.
West Brom finished 17th in the Premier League in 2013-14, and Pepe Mel quit his role as head coach on 12 May. The Spaniard was the second manager at West Brom this season, with Steve Clarke having departed in December after four consecutive defeats.
Sherwood led Tottenham to a sixth-place finish and Europa League qualification and had a solid top-flight win percentage of 59%, the best of any Spurs boss in the Premier League. Former Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino replaced Sherwood as Tottenham manager.
Here are the odds at SkyBet for the next permanent West Brom manager:
Tim Sherwood - 1/4
Paul Clement - 8/1
Alan Irvine - 14/1
Chris Hughton - 16/1
Neil Lennon - 16/1
