Premier League: Tottenham target Southampton duo

Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin and forward Jay Rodriguez are close to joining former boss Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham, British media reports claim. There are talks between the two clubs and the two 24-year-old players seem set to join Spurs. Southampton have already sold Rickie Lambert, Luke Shaw, Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren and Calum Chambers this summer. Schneiderlin is reportedly valued at £27m while Rodriguez is currently sidelined with a cruciate ligament injury. Tottenham have signed full-back Ben Davies and goalkeeper Michel Vorm from Swansea this summer. Schneiderlin joined Southampton from Strasbourg in 2008 and has also attracted interest from Arsenal. Southampton have signed two players: Dusan Tadic from FC Twente and Graziano Pelle from Feyenoord. The Saints are also expected to sell Dani Osvaldo. New Saints boss Ronald Koeman seems to be keen on signing fellow Dutch player Jordy Clasie, but there is quite a bit of competition for his signature.
