Premier League: Tottenham vs Everton preview
Everton are looking to stop their losing streak but it will be a difficult task as they visit fifth-placed Tottenham at Wembley Stadium on Saturday. Tottenham won the reverse fixture 3-0 in September, it was one of the poor displays from the Toffees that eventually led to the sacking of Ronald Koeman. Last season Tottenham defeated Everton 3-2 at White Hart Lane after having recorded a 1-1 draw at Goodison Park. Everton have not beaten Tottenham since a 2-1 Premier League victory in 2012. Tottenham have won seven of their last nine matches in all competitions but only three of their last five in the Premier League, which leaves them three points behind fourth-placed Liverpool at the moment. Last weekend the Spurs eased to a 3-0 victory over AFC Wimbledon in the FA Cup, but before that they got held to a 1-1 draw by West Ham in the Premier League. Toby Alderweireld and Danny Rose are still sidelined for the home team, while Harry Winks is struggling with an ankle issue. Everton have not won any of their last five matches and have lost their last three games in all competitions, a poor streak that could soon turn into a full-fledged crisis at Goodison Park. Last week the Toffees lost 2-1 against rivals Liverpool in the FA Cup after consecutive league defeats to Bournemouth and Manchester United. They dropped to ninth place in the league table, at equal distance from the relegation zone and the top seven. Ramiro Funes Mori, Seamus Coleman and Leighton Baines are injured, while Maarten Stekelenburg and Michael Keane will have to undergo late fitness tests. Probable line-ups: Tottenham: Lloris - Aurier, Sanchez, Vertonghen, Davies - Dier, Dembele - Son Heung-Min, Alli, Eriksen - Kane Everton: Pickford - Kenny, Jagielka, Williams, Martina - Gueye, Schneiderlin - Bolasie, Rooney, Sigurdsson - Calvert-Lewin My prediction: Tottenham to win 2-1. Here are the odds for the match at Bet365: Tottenham win - 1.25 Draw - 6.00 Everton win - 10.00
